Why Radiodays Asia?

Radio is worldwide and is part of the lives of people around the world. Radiodays Asia is the NEW conference from the team who produces Radiodays Europe, the world´s largest and leading conference for radio and audio development, now in its 10th year.

Radiodays Asia will focus on the future of radio and audio businesses, adding something new for broadcasters in Asia. All media, including radio, are facing growing challenges from the fast digital transformation and changing media habits.  At the same time, there is a worldwide rise in investment and usage of audio on new platforms, opening up a new dawn for radio and a new golden age of audio. Radiodays Europe has become a joint platform for European broadcasters to discuss and learn about future challenges for radio and audio.  Radiodays Asia will deliver the same benefits for Asian radio and audio businesses, with the focus on its vibrant, diverse and progressive radio markets at the inaugural Radiodays Asia 2019! It will be full of new ideas and progressive business trends.

Speakers for Radiodays Asia are taken from the radio and audio industries but also from other specialist fields. When choosing speakers we look for innovation and inspiration from speakers on their chosen subject related to radio. The conference venue will be Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur City Centre. The national capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur is also its largest city. Having undergone rapid development, it has become a popular destination thanks to its fascinating history and growing cultural scene. There’s plenty for visitors to enjoy, from historical buildings to natural attractions, great shopping, food and bustling nightlife, all at a very cost effective price. The Format – 2 days dedicated to radio and audio! 

Radiodays Asia will run over two days and will contain two parallel tracks to be able to have a wide spread of topics and also more specialized sessions. Some sessions will be fast paced, with shorter presentations, others will be panels, keynotes and more in-depth sessions. The speakers as well as the technical production will be of the highest international quality. There will also be dedicated networking events during Radiodays Asia.

Radiodays Europe - The meeting point for the world of radio and audio

Radiodays Europe was born in 2010 as a response to the needs of the European industry, public and private, to come together to discuss the new media challenges, across borders.

It has since grown to become the most important annual conference for radio professionals with 1600 participants from 60 countries. It is the meeting point for the European radio industry, both private and public, and a destination for radio people from around the world.

It will next take place on 29 March - 31 March 2020 at Lisbon Congress Centre, Lisbon, Portugal.  

Started in Scandinavia & Not for profit

The first Radiodays Europe was held 2010 in Copenhagen. It grew out of the existing collaboration between the different Radiodays in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, where the model with joint private and public radio conference already was in place. In 2012 Radiodays Europe moved to Barcelona and has then been held in Berlin, Dublin, Milan, Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna and Lausanne. 

“The Association Radiodays Europe” is a not for profit organisation with the sole purpose of organising the annual radio conferences. The association was founded by the public broadcasters SR, DR, NRK and YLE in Scandinavia and these organisations make up the board of the European association.

Radiodays Europe as well as Radiodays Asia is supervised by the Manager and Founder Anders Held, Sweden.
